UCLA cardiologists Dr. Mario Deng and Dr. Jeff Hsu met with students about heart health, interviewed students about their health backgrounds, and provided students with an EKG exam.
Students read the book Farewell to Manzanar. The memoir follows a young girl from Los Angeles who was forced to lived at the internment camp with her family for three years. The culmination of this project takes place at the Manzanar Historical Site.
