The Mann UCLA Community School brings together the resources of the school, family and community to help young people thrive and make families and communities stronger in the South Los Angeles area.

Students at our school benefit from resources through our partnership with UCLA and the surrounding community. Some of the partnerships that work with our students are listed below.

Our Partners

Faculty and staff our school use RULER, an evidence based  approach for integrating social and emotional skills in the school community.
The Children’s Institute provides on campus mental health services to our students.
Professional and business women from Soroptimist International LA work with our young ladies at Mann UCLA to help them achieve their potential.
Local artists work with Mann students to create an art project centered around their teachers’ curriculum.
Los Angeles Southwest College enrolls our high school students in a dual enrollment program, allowing students to work towards their A.A. degree while working on their high school diploma.
Every summer, Mann UCLA students look forward to a week of outdoor fun, UCLA student mentorship, and community building at UCLA UniCamp.
UCLA Teacher Education Program supports the development of teachers at Mann UCLA and hosts community enrichment events for our students, their families, and the surrounding community.
UCLA BruinCorps sends UCLA students into our classrooms as small group tutors.
Every summer, Mann UCLA students participate in summer workshops at UCLA where they are mentored by the industry’s leading directors, screenwriters, and producers.
Staff and volunteers from Amerivista staff our College Center and provide after school tutoring.
