8th-12th Graders Invited to College Fair, featuring recent Mann UCLA alumni
“The college center strives to connect our students proper resources and obtain college knowledge. On Friday, October 28th, we held a virtual college fair for students to learn more about what support systems are available across college campuses, while also learning from current college scholars about their honest experiences. Students were excited to hear from Mann Class of 2021 alumni, with Caleb Jordan and Elijah Black representing Benedict College, and Jamya Maddox representing San Jose State University. Representatives from El Camino College, Compton College, Cal State Long Beach, Biola University, and Cal State Los Angeles were also in attendance.
Our College & Career Center had its Grand Opening on October 1, 2021!
The College and Career Center gave out burritos during lunch. They also raffled off a pair of tickets for the UCLA football game on 10/2, UCLA backpacks, and 5 Starbucks gift cards. Students obtained up to three raffle tickets in the following ways: 1) Stopping by the center, 2) Talking to Ms. Cofield about their career interests, and 3) Sharing any curiosity they have about college with Ms Lin. Come visit in Room C-147!
