Schools will remain closed through May 1st and the district will provide additional updates well before May 1st on what will come next. Check the LAUSD website for the latest updates. Mann UCLA teachers are working on creating course work to ensure that students earn credit for this school year.
PBS & LAUSD team up to provide At-Home Learning
The “At Home Learning” program is geared toward Pre-K through Grade 3 on PBS SoCal; Grades 4 through 8 on KLCS; and Grades 9 through 12 on KCET. PBS LearningMedia, an online resource previously geared toward teachers, has now also been opened up for students. Click HERE for the schedule.

Mann UCLA Community School welcomed Patrisse Cullors—revolutionary, author, activist, and co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement. Mann teacher, Mr. Marcus Van, invited Ms. Cullors to share her story with students and help them feel more connected to their identities, self-worth, and community. UCLA Community School Principals Honored
UCLA is celebrating its 100th birthday. As a part of the celebration, UCLA Advocacy recognized Principal Leyda Garcia and Principal Orlando Johnson for their dedication and commitment to serving youth through their work at UCLA Community School and Mann UCLA Community School. Both principals were honored and received awards at the LA City Hall on May 22, 2019.
