LAUSD Reopening Updates

On March 10, 2021, Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and the United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA) reached an agreement that paved the way for middle and high schools to open sometime in April 2021.

Families, please complete the Campus Program Selection Form

This survey must be filled out to let the district know how your student will participate in instruction when schools reopen. All families will need to complete this Program Selection Form by March 19 so that we can adequately prepare to provide an instructional program that meets your child’s needs. Please note that if no response is received for your child, the default will be for your child to continue learning online. You will also have the option to change how your child will participate in instruction every two weeks after schools reopen by contacting your school.

Resources that outline what in person school would look like can be= found on our LAUSD Return to Campus – Resources page.

COVID-19 Testing for Students

As Superintendent Austin Beutner explained in his October 5, 2020 Letter to the School Community, Los Angeles Unified School District is offering free COVID-19 tests to all students.

The virus testing program is now underway and it’s time for our school to be tested.

We are asking parents to make an appointment for an initial test now to help us prepare for the opening of school for in-person instruction. Although the date when schools will re-open for in-person instruction is not yet known, taking an initial test now will provide valuable information about the incidence of COVID-19 in the communities we serve.
