Hello Panther families!
Happy June! What a year! We are so proud of our Mann Panthers.
Updated Main Office Summer Hours
The Main Office will be open until June 28th from 8:00am -3:00pm daily. We can assist you with enrollment, return textbooks, picking up diplomas, or requesting records. Seniors please come pick up your plaque’s before we close.
The Main Office will reopen Wednesday, July 21st.
On Campus Summer Day Camp K-8th Grade
Mann UCLA Community School’s Beyond the Bell program is hosting an in-person Summer Day Camp on the 71st and Gramercy side of the school. This program accepts all students from grades kindergarten to 8th grade daily from 8:00am- 6:00pm.
This program will offer free hot meals as well as arts and crafts, dance, and sports.
Students will need to be COVID tested to participate. COVID-19 testing is on Mann campus every Tuesday from 8:30am -3:00pm.

Sign Up for UCLA UniCamp – Deadline July 15, 2021
Every summer Mann UCLA students have the opportunity to spend a week in the great outdoors with mentors from UCLA. It is an amazing opportunity for students to build their leadership skills, experience the wonders of nature, and make unforgettable memories with their fellow Mann Panthers!
Students get to spend a week at a beautiful campsite that is bordered by a peaceful river near Big Bear. UCLA students have developed a program especially for our Mann students, filled with activities such as hiking, mountain biking, arts & crafts, swimming, rock climbing, and so much more.
This is an unbelievable opportunity for our students, and its no wonder that Mann Panthers look forward to our week of camp year after year!

International Newcomer Enrichment Summer Program
Join our International Newcomer Enrichment Summer Program at High Schools all across LA Unified. Program benefits include:
- English Language Development focused on Listening, Speaking, Reading, & Writing
- Builds College and Career Readiness Skills
- Promotes success in A-G courses
- Students will receive up to 10 elective high school credits!
Únase a nuestro programa internacional de verano de enriquecimiento para recién llegados en las escuelas secundarias de todo el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Los Ángeles. Los beneficios del programa incluyen:
- Desarrollo del idioma inglés enfocado en escuchar, hablar, leer y escribir
- Desarrolla habilidades de preparación universitaria y profesional

COVID-19 Testing Opportunities
COVID-19 testing is on Mann campus every Tuesday from 8:30am -3:00pm.
COVID-19 Vaccines for all Mann UCLA students!
The Pfizer vaccine has been approved for children ages 12 and up. The Pfizer vaccine requires 2 doses, so Dose 1 will be administered on June 7 and Dose 2 will be administered on June 28 at Mann UCLA Community School campus. Stay tuned to our COVID-19 vaccine page for the latest updates.
Please note that parents/caregivers will need to accompany children when they get vaccinated.
Students ages 12 and up can visit any one of our school-based sites to receive a vaccination. To find the best location for your family and to make an appointment, please visit dailypass.lausd.net.
Students will also need to bring a signed consent form, found on our COVID-19 vaccine page and available in our main office.

Seniors, if you are planning to coming on plan for campus for any in person activities please make sure you come on Wednesday June 2 or Thursday June 3 between 12:30- 2:45 for a COVID test.

Updated Bell Schedule, starting April 27
On April 26, 2021, Mann UCLA Community School’s campus will once again be open for in person learning. To maintain safety, the bell schedule has been adjusted to provide adequate time for on campus staff and students to complete health protocols. This schedule will begin on Tuesday, April 27.
Students have been divided into THREE cohorts. Please refer to the schedule that corresponds with your student’s cohort.
